Why the Exchange & what will it do for you?
Following selection for the event, each delegate designs their own agenda by selecting interactive workshops, personal meetings, networking sessions and keynote presentations. This unique format ensures every session reflects individual challenges interests and requirements; it is this highly-specialised structure that defines Smart Lab, and marks the Exchange apart from any other laboratory informatics events.

What is an Exchange?
The Exchange is a division within IQPC dedicated to delivering unique, invitation only meetings that provides those with budgetary control and decision-making responsibilities the opportunity to 'Exchange' ideas and information with their international peers, develop industry contacts, advance current initiatives and improve business performance.
Whether you attend as a delegate, speaker or solution provider, be prepared for an exhilarating and packed 2 days! Our revolutionary format ensures you leave having addressed your specific needs and challenges, through a range of learning opportunities.
How is this format different to a conference?
The 5th Annual SmartLabs Exchange 2010 is made up of a mix of presentations and workshops that have been designed to maximise your learning opportunities:
Keynote Addresses: These presentations offer a case study perspective from global leaders in the community. Find out how these organisations have achieved success, taking home key lessons for your own organisation.
Ice-Breakers: These offer you the ideal opportunity to meet all of your international peers at the 5th Annual SmartLabs Exchange 2010. You only have 2 minutes with each person before moving on, so make sure you've got your business cards handy to offer anyone you'd like to stay connected with.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of last year's Ice-Breaker, we're hosting two of these sessions to ensure you get maximum networking time.
Interactive Tracks: These practical sessions give you the opportunity to get some hands on experience with a solution that meets your needs. Spend this time testing out the latest tools and methodologies, and finding out how they can assist you in delivering a great customer experience.
Director-Led Workshops: Don't just sit back and listen to someone else speak at you. Get involved, share you ideas and offer advice. This boardroom style workshop offers intimate groups of Directors the opportunity to exchange their knowledge on shared areas of interests. We keep these small to enhance the level of information shared, and if the session is so popular that everyone wants to attend, we simply repeat it later in the day so no one misses out.
Networking Sessions: These structured networking sessions have been designed to compliment the morning ice-breaker sessions. When you collect your personalised agenda on arrival at the 5th Annual SmartLabs Exchange 2010 you'll be given a list of:
- The other delegates who are networking at the same time as you
- Their top challenges and current projects
This will allow you to pick out those people who are embarking on similar projects to you, exchange ideas on what's been successful, what hasn't, and come away with a comprehensive list of ideas to test on returning to the office.
One-to-One Meetings: As part of the registration process, you will outline where your main challenges lie, where you are looking for help and in which areas you are, or may be looking to buy solutions. As part of the service we offer, we will match your challenges to the range of solution providers present and with your permission, will schedule one-to-one meetings within your personalised agenda. Plus, you won't miss any Director led workshops as these are all scheduled as an added extra!
